China Southern Airlines yesterday announced plans to raise CNY15 billion (USD2.2 billion) through a private placement, with CNY10.5 billion earmarked to acquire 46 fuel-efficient aircraft, including 12 C919, and CNY4.5 billion (USD662 million) to replenish working capital and reduce its debt ratio.
