BYD’s Executive VP Stella Li said in a recent interview that internal combustion engine vehicles have no future in China, with the rapid roll-out of flash-charging technology. While the transition to EVs may take a few years elsewhere, the outcome will be the same, she noted. BYD plans to launch solid-state battery models in 2027, Li added.
