China's railroads saw the peak of the National Day holiday return rush yesterday, with 24.2 million passenger trips expected on the final day of the “Golden Week” break, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing China State Railway Group. A total of 2,449 additional passenger trains were scheduled for yesterday to cope with the surge in demand.
