The snow leopard cub Ling Xiaohan, which was rescued by local authorities, tragically passed away on Nov. 1 after 26 days of intensive care from Xining Wildlife Park and top China Agricultural University experts, according to the park operator. As a flagship species of high-altitude ecosystems, the snow leopard is vital to the ecological health and habitat connectivity of migration corridors.
