Dior China has been handed administrative penalties by China’s public security authorities for failing to adequately protect customers' personal data. China’s cyber police said today that the company transferred clients' personal information to its headquarters in France without authorization and failed to implement the required safeguards, such as encryption and de-identification. The French luxury brand reported a data breach this May.
