The number of tax-refund shops for overseas tourists in China exceeded 10,000 as of Aug. 31, Xinhua reported, citing the State Taxation Administration. The number of tourists receiving tax refunds increased 248% in the first eight months of the year from a year earlier, with the sales of tax-refund goods soaring 98%.
