(Yicai Global) Feb. 14 -- Shanghai has confirmed another three new cases of the novel coronavirus  yesterday afternoon, bringing the total to 318, the Shanghai Health Commission announced this morning.

Among the total, one has died, 16 remain in a critical state, 62 are fully recovered and have been discharged from hospital, and 239 are in stable condition.

The patients are aged between seven months and 88 years of age and include 165 men and 153 women.

Some 144 have lived in or visited Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, 141 have had close contact with other patients, and 33 have lived in or visited other provinces or regions. Two patients are under epidemiological Investigation to trace the origins, the health commission said.

As of yesterday, 1,494 suspected cases have been cleared and 156 suspected cases are still undergoing further tests.
