(Yicai Global) Jan. 3 -- An affiliate of Alibaba Group Holding unveiled an online singing app yesterday.

The app, 'Jingming' ['Whale Calls' in Chinese], has a function that allows users to send voice bullets with comments.

Jingming, which looks much like other popular short video apps, supports three modes: solo, chorus and transmission of voice bullets. The publisher of a singing video can select a bullet sent by another user to mix it in and turn it into a chorus video.

The app's developer, Beijing trailblazer Technology, indirectly controlled by Alibaba Cultural Entertainment, also launched another singing app, called Changya, for playing instruments and singing a half year ago.
