(Yicai Global) Nov. 6 -- The ongoing China International Import Expo Bureau released plans yesterday for its fourth annual event next year, and 29 companies, including L'Oréal, Michelin, Dow and AstraZeneca, have already signed up to take part.

The corporate exhibition zone will have six areas again in 2021: services trade, automobiles, technical equipment, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare, as well as food and agricultural products. Like the third CIIE this year, the fourth will also run from Nov. 5 to 10.

New special sections will also debut at the fourth expo. For example, the technical equipment area will include an industrial digital transformation part and an integrated circuit segment, while the medical equipment and healthcare area will add an area for innovation incubation. In addition, the concepts of car culture and car racing will be merged into the automobile area.

Demand for technologies and products in the field of public health continues to increase amid the Covid-19 pandemic. A public health area was opened for the first time at this year’s CIIE, and the area will be larger next year, with a focus on vaccine research, remote diagnosis and fifth-generation mobile technology, as well as mobile testing.
