(Yicai Global) Sept. 11 -- Beijing Extension Course Technology Co. (Talk-Cloud), a Chinese audio and video communication services provider, has raised tens of millions of yuan in series pre-A funding led by Innoangel Fund and joined by PowerCloud Venture Capital and Tsinghua Capital, online media outlet Jiemian.com reported.

Talk-Cloud is an industry-wide video conferencing technology provider. It turned to an audio and video 'platform as a service' (PaaS) and 'software as a service' (SaaS) provider for online educational institutions after the strategic reorganization in November 2016.

Talk-Cloud currently has over 50 institutional customers, the majority of which are language training and K12 education entities.

The bandwidth expenditure takes up the highest proportion in Talk-Cloud's cost structure. Customers sign yearly contracts, and they can choose a monthly plan with unlimited users or a plan charged by time. The value of the whole plan ranges from CNY240,000 (USD36,790) to millions of yuan.
