(Yicai Global) Nov. 19 -- The Bank of China's Manila branch will explore cooperation options with subsidiaries of Philippine conglomerate Equicom Group.

The pair signed a memorandum of understanding at a ceremony attended by Deng Jun, Bank of China's Manila head and Equicom Group Chairman Antonio L. Go, China News Service reported.

The pair will explore possible cooperation opportunities related to the provision of information, services and solutions to clients based on their relevant products.

The BOC Manila branch offers specialized consulting services to Chinese companies, such as data related to the Philippine health care system, which can help them work with Equicom Group.

Set up in 2002, the BOC's Manila office aims to act as a bridge between China and the Philippines.

Equicom Group is a diversified conglomerate specializing in health care, credit information and credit ratings as well as the provision of financial, leasing and information technology services.
