(Yicai Global) Feb. 2 -- Beijing Vrv Software Corporation Ltd. will pair with an e-government external network management center under the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region government to set up an external instant messaging platform for public departments. It aims to provide a new way of communication which is safe, fast and efficient for all units under the government.

The company has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Guangxi e-government external network management, the cyber security product developer said in a statement today. Beijing Vrv Software will provide instant messaging products and technical support for the proposed platform, while Guangxi e-government network management center will provide necessary places, servers and other hardware equipment to build the platform, it elaborated.

The platform covers all departments, committees, offices, bureaus and other departments under the jurisdiction of the Guangxi local government as well as 14 subordinate prefecture-level municipal governments and 111 county-level governments.

Setting the external instant messaging platform can prevent the risk of leakage of information stored in the external public cloud from communications between government agencies, the statement said. However, it gave no financial details.

This will be the first time that a new generation internet security aggregation channel developed by the Beijing company is implemented in a provincial government's e-government external network, which the firm called a breakthrough for related products in the government client market, the statement added.
