(Yicai Global) Nov. 18 -- BMW China's new logistic service center has started running near its plant in Northeast China, the local Liaoning Daily reported today.

 The facility, BMW's largest logistics hub in the Asia Pacific region, covers 260,000 square meters in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province It will forward the vehicles the facility produces to BMW's regional distribution centers nationwide. It has a 20,0000-vehicle annual throughput rate and a 11,000-unit storage capacity.

 BMW set up BMW Brilliance Auto, a 50-50 joint venture with China's Brilliance Auto, in 2002 for its Chinese business operations. The local partner sold one-quarter of its share to BMW for CNY29 billion (USD4.14 billion) early this year to make the alliance China's first JV vehicle maker with a foreign controller.
