Burger King Opens Its 1000th Chinese Mainland Restaurant in Shanghai(Yicai Global) Dec. 30 -- Burger King opened a new restaurant in Shanghai today, its 1,000th on the Chinese mainland.
It is starting point as well as a milestone, said Ekrem Ozer, chief executive of the Floridian fast food chain's local unit Burger King China Investment, adding that the landmark opening is the beginning of plans to add another 1,000 Burger Kings on the mainland within the next three years.
