(Yicai Global) Oct. 20 -- Chinese carmaker SAIC Motor Corp. [SHA:600104] said its new energy vehicle car-sharing business EvCard has entered 32 cities with more than 6,500 service outlets nationwide. 

The automobile manufacturer is promoting its NEV rental business, which has served over 1.3 million customers with its more than 17,000 vehicles. 

The company said that its first choices for establishing EvCard service centers are airports, high-speed railway stations and core business districts (CBD).

SAIC Motor and Shanghai International Automobile City (Group) Co. established a car rental company that operates the EvCard program. 

Users can download the EvCard mobile application, choose an NEV rental location and book a vehicle on their phone. The service offers three models, renting them for USD0.08 (CNY0.5) to CNY1 per minute.
