(Yicai Global) June 14 -- Hong Kong Stock Exchange has renewed Chief Executive Charles Li's three-year contract, ensuring that he stays on as head of the special administrative region's bourse until October 2021.
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing's board approved the renewal with Li set to earn HKD9.3 million (USD1.2 million) a year, the stock exchange said in a statement.
Li joined the HKEX in October 2009 and has been CEO and Executive Director January 2010.
