(Yicai Global) Sept. 23 -- Zhu Huimin, chairman of state-owned environmental protection and investment firm China Everbright Industry Group, is under investigation on suspicion of severe disciplinary violations.

Zhu has been serving the unit of China Everbright Group as its chairman and general manager since 2018, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said in a statement on its website today. 

Before joining Beijing-based China Everbright Industry in 2014, Zhu was heading China Everbright Bank in different roles from 2000 to 2007.

China Everbright Industry, which owns China Everbright Investment and Assets Management, Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center, Beijing Guangda Real Estate, and Everbright Industrial Capital Management, had CNY18.5 billion (USD2.7 billion) in assets as of December 2017, according to public data.
