(Yicai Global) Aug. 7 -- China’s appetite for iron ore kept on increasing amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

China imported 11.8 percent more of the raw material for steel production at 660 million metric tons in the first seven months of this year from a year ago, the General Administration of Customs announced today. The average price was CNY641.2 (USD92.10) per metric ton.
