(Yicai Global) Sept. 15 -- Big Chinese industrial firms have recovered from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic to expand faster than last year.
During the first eight months of this year, value-added industrial output, which measures the activity of designated large enterprises with annual turnover of at least CNY20 million (USD2.9 million), climbed 0.4 percent from a year ago, the National Bureau of Statistics said today.
From January to July, the figure had decreased by 0.4 percent from a year earlier.
Value-added industrial output rose 5.6 percent in August from a year ago as manufacturing and high-tech companies swiftly increased their production. In July, it had widened by 4.8 percent.
