(Yicai Global) July 20 --The 16th China International Cartoon and Game Expo is running as scheduled at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from July 16 to 20. It is the first post-epidemic large-scale international animation exhibition held in Shanghai. Leading domestic and foreign cartoon and game brands, such as Bandai, Hot Toys, Shengqu Games, DeNA, Guangzhou Tianwen Kadokawa Animation and Comics and Tencent Video, all unveiled their annual blockbuster works at the fair.

This exhibition spreads over nearly 50,000 square meters and has over 250 exhibitors, with Chinese animation-related companies making up more than 60 percent. Japan’s Bandai Namco Entertainment and other leading overseas firms are also vying to develop Chinese animes as these become ever more popular in the world.

The set of the popular web drama ‘Joy of Life’ is recreated in Shanghai-based Shengqu Games’ booth, where visitors can try out the mobile game on site and get derivative products.

Women throng the booth of the mobile game ‘Love and the Producer’ to scoop up limited-edition derivative products that can only be bought at the CCG.
