(Yicai Global) Sept. 8 -- The China's mainboard stock markets remained steady on Friday, finishing the afternoon session a touch lower than yesterday's closings. A candlestick formation occurred in the charts of both the Shanghai Composite Index and the Shenzhen Component Index, a sign of reversal in the stock market.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed lower 0.01 percent at 3365.24 points, almost the same as its opening.
The Shenzhen Component Index inched up 0.01 percent at 10,970.77 points.
The Growth Enterprise Index was down 0.27 percent at 1,885.27 points.
The stocks related to titanium dioxide production and Tibet both soared more than 2.7 percent. The stocks related to Shenzhen state-ownership reform and new material manufacturing soared 2.62 percent and 2.53 percent, respectively. However, the stocks of liquor makers declined 1.05 percent.
