(Yicai Global) Sept. 8 -- The mainboard indices of the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange recovered at the close of the morning trade on Friday after early downward trend. However, the Growth Enterprise Index closed lower.

The Shanghai Composite index was up 0.24 percent at 3,373.68 points, compared with 0.03 percent fall at the open.

The Shenzhen Component Index advanced 0.16 percent to 10,986.16 points, reversing its earlier 0.07 percent drop.

The Growth Enterprise Index closed lower in the morning trade, down 0.12 percent at 1,888.04 points, maintaining its downward pace at the open.

The stocks of medical equipment manufacturers and biological product firms soared 2.82 percent and 2.55 percent, respectively. The stocks related to Tibet rose 2.68 percent at the close of morning session.
