(Yicai Global) Sept. 6 -- Two major indices of China's stock markets nudged up in early trading on Wednesday, while Shanghai Composite Index closed lower.

The Shanghai Composite index was down 0.28 percent at 3,374.73 points, slightly making up for 0.35 percent fall at early opening.

The Shenzhen Component Index advanced 0.26 percent to 11,015.72 points, recovering from 0.25 percent drop earlier.

The Growth Enterprise Index was up 0.52 percent at 1,894.87 points, reversing 0.24 percent slip at opening.

Stocks related to new material and steel manufacturing extended their gains to 2.25 percent and 2.68 percent respectively at the close of the morning session.
