(Yicai Global) Sept. 6 – The benchmark indices of China's mainboard stock markets opened lower on Wednesday in a turnaround after several days of rallying.
The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.35 percent at 3,372.43 points at opening.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened lower, down 0.25 percent at 10,959.31 points.
The Growth Enterprise Index was down 0.24 percent at 1,880.70 points at opening.
By 10.30 a.m., the stocks related to new material and steel manufacturing soared 1.40 percent and 1.21 percent respectively.
The stocks related to artificial intelligence (AI) and Fujian Free Trade Zone fell more than 1 percent by 10.30 a.m.
