(Yicai Global) Aug. 31 -- China's mainboard stock markets opened steady on Thursday, but lost momentum in the early trading, with the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets indices dropping.
The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.06 percent at 3361.46 points at opening. It fell 0.34 percent by 10.30 a.m.
The Shenzhen Component Index inched up 0.09 percent at 10,823.31 points. By 10.30 a.m., it dropped 0.20 percent.
The Growth Enterprise Index was up 0.13 percent to 1,841.00 points.
The stocks related to the sold and rented housing parity soared about 1.2 percent in the morning trading, similar to the performance by the sub-new stocks.
