(Yicai Global) Sept. 25 -- China's stock markets closed lower in the morning session today ahead of the National Day holiday. As some investors left early for vacation, both the turnover and indices edged down compared with last week.
The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.35 percent to 3,340.67 points at the close of early trade, with CNY107.3 billion (USD16.2 billion) exchanged.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 11,018.40 points, down 0.46 percent, turning over CNY152 billion.
The Growth Enterprise Index lost 0.28 percent at 1,861.15 points, with turnover of CNY259.3 billion.
The real estate segment of the indices recouped half its loss it suffered at the open, but still pulled the stock markets down, dipping 2.46 percent.
