(Yicai Global) May 22 -- China's mainland stock markets extended their opening losses in the morning session, with all three major benchmarks down by at least 1 percent going into the lunch break.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed the morning 1.31 percent lower at 2,830.45, while the Shenzhen Component Index was at 10,671.21, down 1.61 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, ended down 1.9 percent at 2,059.45.
All sectors except agriculture finished the session lower. Liquor makers, energy companies and non-ferrous metal firms were among the biggest losers.
