(Yicai Global) April 10 -- The three major benchmarks tracking China's mainland stock markets all fell this morning as tech stocks dragged them down from a mixed opening.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.65 percent lower at 2,807.64 while the Shenzhen Component Index ended for lunch at 10,362.36, down 0.96 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, entered the break down 1.81 percent at 1,961.09.

The internet and software sectors both fell by nearly 3 percent, while insurers and liquor makers were the biggest gainers, each rising more than 1 percent.
