(Yicai Global) July 11 -- China's mainland stock markets shed morning gains to close mixed this afternoon, with the Shanghai bourse outperforming its southern counterpart in Shenzhen.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 0.1 percent higher at 2,917.76. The Shenzhen Component Index ended at 9,152.77, down 0.15 percent and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, finished 0.25 percent higher at 1,514.2.
