(Yicai Global) April 2 -- Shanxi Oriental Material Handling cast the winning  bid to configure the smart distribution system for the large warehouse  center constructed by Fraser & Neave, Malaysia's largest beverage  producer and seller, in Selangor for USD16.3 million.

The company recently received the bid-winning notice from Singapore-based  F&N's wholly-owned unit F&N Beverages Manufacturing to provide  installation, design and debugging services for the automated smart  warehouse in its F&N Shah Alam Distribution Center, per a statement  from the smart logistics delivery and storage system supplier yesterday.

The system will be installed at the center that F&N Beverages  Manufacturing built, per the statement. The project, for which it will  provide over 50,000 storage bins, can throughput over 700 trays per  hour.

It is set to finish and operate in the second half of next year, the statement said.

F&N Beverages Manufacturing is a Malaysian listed company formed in 1883  and one of the country's oldest and largest beverage suppliers, per the  statement. Market leaders in Malaysia and Thailand, its condensed milk,  milk and fruit juices are also exported to 68 countries in Europe, North  America, the Middle East and Africa.

The implementation of the project will not only positively impact the  company's future business performance but also hold strategic  significance for its exploration of the Southeast Asian market, the  statement added.
