(Yicai Global) May 13 -- China is investigating the former chief commander of the country's aircraft carrier program for suspected severe disciplinary violations.

The Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission are investigating Hu Wenming, former chairman of China State Shipbuilding, the top anti-graft body said yesterday. Hu oversaw the development of China's first homegrown aircraft carrier in 2017, according to an earlier CCTV report.
