(Yicai  Global) Dec. 7 -- China's run-up to a nationwide fifth-generation wireless network is accelerating with new regulatory approvals for the country's three biggest telecom operators. 

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has given China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom their own designated ranges of frequencies to develop 5G networks, state-backed China Central Television reported today. 

China is planning to get a pilot version of the 5G out by next year, and release a commercial product in 2020. 

Telecom service providers and their equipment makers can decide their development plans for products once the test frequencies range are confirmed, Industry experts said to CCTV.
