(Yicai Global) April 3 -- Sporting goods firm Sanfo Outdoor Products will become Swiss functional clothing manufacturer X-Bionic's first and only Chinese retail partner.

Sanfo penned a 10-year framework cooperation agreement with X-Bionic, under which the latter's technology, patents, brands and products will exclusively enter the Chinese market, the Beijing-based firm said in a statement. 

The pair plans to establish a research and development center and a digital retail system in China to design and provide clothing for Chinese athletes, including those in the upcoming Winter Olympics in Beijing, as well as special forces, firefighters and astronauts.

Wollerau-headquartered X-Bionic makes performance-enhancing clothes for which it has won many rewards, including the global branding Plus X Award for being one of the Most Innovative Brands of 2018.
