(Yicai Global) Oct. 8 -- China will bring in anti-dumping tariffs on Indian and Japanese imports of ortho-dichlorobenzene, a solvent used in the production of agrichemicals such as insecticides.
Companies will pay temporary levies of 31.9 percent to 70.4 percent on imports of ODCB products from the two countries starting from Oct. 12, China's commerce ministry said in a preliminary ruling today.
The ministry originally received an anti-dumping investigation application from Yangnong Chemical Group on behalf of the domestic ODCB industry late last year. Authorities will complete the probe in January 2019, though there exists the option to extend the deadline to next July.
