(Yicai Global) Dec. 11 -- China's A-shares opened slightly higher in trading today with market sentiment boosted by a higher close in US markets that offset earlier decline.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 2,587.01 points, up 0.09 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index was up 0.23 percent at 7,642.16 points. The ChiNext Price Index opened at 1,332.52 points, up 0.43 percent.
