(Yicai Global) June 18 -- Chinese stock markets closed higher today with technical shares the biggest winners as pharma stocks lost yesterday’s gains.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed up 0.12 percent at 2,939.32, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose to 11,494.56, up 0.65 percent. The Chinext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, advanced 0.09 percent to 2,266.03.

Technical stocks rose over 2 percent while pharma shares lost 2.6 percent.
