China's Stock Markets Continue Rebound as Overseas Markets Follow Suit

(Yicai Global) March 11 -- Chinese stock markets opened up this morning after closing out yesterday on a high note, with overseas markets also rebounding.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.17 percent higher at 3,001.76, while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.29 percent to 11,436.44. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, climbed at 2,157.92, up 0.42 percent.

US markets soared yesterday as President Donald Trump pitched a 0% payroll tax rate for the rest of the year. The Dow Jones Industry Average rose 4.89 percent the same day, while the Nasdaq jumped 4.95 percent and the S&P 500 Index surged 4.94 percent.
