(Yicai Global) Oct. 31 -- China's mainland stock markets widened losses in the afternoon as the tech sector continued cooling down after a blockchain fever hit the markets earlier this week.

The Shanghai Composite Index declined 0.35 percent to 2,929.06. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 9,635.33, down 0.48 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, dropped 0.76 percent to 1,671.31.
