(Yicai Global) Dec. 6 -- China's mainland stock markets swung back and forth after a high open this morning while retaining gains when going into lunchtime.

The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.02 percent to 2,899.97. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 9,827.48, up 0.29 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, climbed 0.46 percent to 1,717.71.
