China's Stock Markets Open Slightly Lower on Tuesday China's Stock Markets Open Slightly Lower on Tuesday

(Yicai Global) Sept. 5 -- China's stock markets opened slightly lower on Tuesday following their strong performance yesterday.

The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.07 percent at 3,377.20 points at opening.

The Shenzhen Component Index inched down 0.04 percent to 10,958.20 points, but quickly hit the new high of 10977.90 points after opening.

The Growth Enterprise Index was down 0.10 percent at 1,881.67 points.

In early trading, the stocks related to the Hangzhou Asian Games rose 1.82 percent as the shares of Changjiang & Jinggong Steel Building (Group) Co. [SHA: 600496], which are included in the basket, hit the daily upper limit after signing a strategic cooperation agreement with Hebei Construction Group Co.

The stocks related to quantum communication and domestic computer chip companies performed well, soaring 1.33 percent and 1.30 percent, respectively.
