(Yicai Global) July 22 - Chinese stock markets edged up at opening but shares on the new sci-tech SSE Star Market were the true belles of the ball on their debut today.

The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.05 percent to 2,925. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.2 percent higher at 9247. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, increased 1.2 percent to reach 1545.

The 25 shares on the SSE Star Market all rose. The biggest gainer, Anji Microelectronics Technology (Shanghai) [SHE:688019] rocketed almost fourfold to CNY152 (USD22.10).
