China's Three Benchmark Stock Indexes Take Flight After Opening Higher

(Yicai Global) Dec. 13 -- Mainland Chinese stock markets opened up this morning, and all three benchmark indexes continues to rise over 1.2 percent as non-banking financial institutions led the charge.

The Shanghai Composite Index started off 0.76 percent higher at 2,937.78. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 9,923.79, up 0.89 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, began 1.02 percent higher at 1,738.56.

Shares of non-banking financial institutions gained 3.9 percent within one hour after the bell to move to the forefront of the gainers.
