(Yicai Global) Sept. 4 -- Shenzhen's Zhengtong Electronics will offer CNY50 million (USD7 million) worth of cloud computing and network security services to a smart city project in the Guangming district of its hometown.

Zhengtong has won a bid to supply Guangming with cloud platforms, storage systems for videos, and cybersecurity facilities, including hardware and software, the payment infrastructure provider said in a statement yesterday. It will also train personnel and maintain the systems. 

The contract will boost Zhengtong's competitiveness in the cloud services market, as well as improve its financial performance this year, it said. 

Zhengtong's [SZE: 002197] share price declined 0.12 percent to CNY8.40 (USD1.20) by noon.
