(Yicai) Aug. 20 -- Avary Holding’s shares rose after the world's biggest supplier of printed circuit boards revealed plans to invest CNY8 billion (USD1.1 billion) in a new high-end factory to meet growing demand from emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence servers and humanoid robots.

Avary [SHE: 002938] closed 3.9 percent higher at CNY53.29 (USD7.42) a share today. The broader Shenzhen market rose 0.9 percent. The stock has gained 46 percent since the end of last year.

The new plant will be built in Avary's industrial park in Huai'an in Jiangsu province, the Shenzhen-based company announced late yesterday. The plan includes new production lines for a variety of high-end PCBs and boosting production capacity for flexible PCBs, providing full-scope PCB solutions for clients in AI servers, optical communications, humanoid robotics, and self-driving technologies, it said.

Construction will likely begin in the second half of this year, with the factory expected to go live in June 2028, the company said, without providing any further details.

Avary aims to fully leverage the huge market opportunities the AI revolution brings to the PCB industry, it said, adding that the project will help speed up the company’s AI-related products business, enhance its technical strength and mass-production capability in AI computing power, promote technical and product upgrades across product lines, and improve operating efficiency and competitiveness.
