Dynamic Electronics to Build USD210.7 Million Thai Plant to Supply PCBs for AI Sector(Yicai) Nov. 11 -- Dynamic Electronics, a high-end printed circuit board manufacturer, said it will invest almost CNY1.5 billion (USD210.7 million) in a new Thai factory for products used in artificial intelligence computing equipment to enhance overseas deliveries and deepen strategic ties with international clients.
The new plant will be located in the 304 Industrial Park in Thailand's Prachinburi province, where Dynamic Electronics already has a factory, the Taiwan-based firm announced late yesterday. Construction will likely take 12 months, it added, without disclosing the annual production capacity and other details.
The investment will help raise the production capacity of Dynamic Electronics' high-end multi-layer PCBs for routers, AI servers, switches, AI acceleration cards, and other areas, hike its ability to accept overseas orders, and respond quickly to customer demands, according to the company.
Dynamic Electronics, which went public in Shanghai on Oct. 24, produced around 3 million square meters of PCBs last year, it said in its prospectus. Its overseas revenue reached nearly CNY3.3 billion, accounting for 83 percent of its total income, with half of it coming from Asia, it added.
Continental, a well-known automotive parts supplier, and Jabil, a US electronic circuit board assemblies and systems maker, are Dynamic Electronics' biggest customers, while it is also one of the main PCB suppliers for Tesla.
Dynamic Electronics also has long-term and stable alliances with top panel suppliers BOE Technology Group and LG Group and leading data storage makers Seagate, Western Digital Technologies, and SK Hynix, according to its prospectus.
Shares of Dynamic Electronics [SHA: 603175] closed 2.1 percent higher at CNY74 (USD10.39) apiece today, after surging by as much as 7.6 percent at one point. The broader Shanghai stock market fell 0.4 percent.
