(Yicai Global) July 28 -- The China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference, which is one of the world’s largest gaming and digital entertainment exhibitions in the world, has added a special forum on artificial intelligence-generated content this year to cater to the current Chatbot frenzy.

Experts, academics and companies in the industry have been invited to share each other’s views on the upgrading of key AI-generated content technologies at a AIGC conference at ChinaJoy, which kicked off in Shanghai today.

And the China Game Developers Conference is holding a special session on AI this year, inviting technical experts in the field to discuss the role of AI technologies in improving the development of games and players’ experience.

ChinaJoy’s business-to-business section has a new digital technology innovation zone where firms can showcase their advances in AI applications, the metaverse, and digital entertainment.

Sdo is bringing a digital therapy for autism rehabilitation training for children. Game developer Perfect World is displaying its AI hub where people can explore intelligent non-human characters, environment modeling as well as the application of AI in programming, creating story lines, dubbing and even customer services.

In terms of hardware, ByteDance Technology’s virtual reality arm Pico is showcasing its VR devices PICO4 and PICO4 Pro at the event, and South Korea’s Samsung Group is unveiling its 990PRO series of solid-state drives targeting e-game players and information technology users.

In the field of the metaverse, Migu Culture Technology unveils metaverse-featured Interstellar Square, smart virtual characters, Bit-based broadcast. The non-fungible token platform Shuhe backed by Century Huatong Group will also take part.

The expo, which runs until July 31, is expected to attract more visitors this year than in pre-pandemic years.

The Business-to-Customer Interactive Entertainment Area will have more than 200 exhibits laid out across 100,000 square meters, while the B2B Business Display Area will host over 300 booths in a display area covering 20,000 sqm.
