(Yicai Global) Jan. 26 -- Apple Inc. supplier Suzhou Anjie Technology Co. plans to invest USD1 million to set up a unit in California so it can provide better support to American customers.

The firm, which supplies a range of accessories to the Silicon Valley-based smartphone giant, will make the move through its Hong Kong subsidiary, the parent said in a statement yesterday.

The US unit will boost the company's overseas business development, the company added, saying it will allow the firm to expand in America and offer better technical support there.
