(Yicai Global) Sept. 1 -- Beiqi Foton Motor Co. [SHA:600166] plans to release two truck models in Russia, the Auman EST-A and Aumark S, Russian news outlet Sputnik reported on Aug. 30.

Foton displayed the new trucks in Moscow on Aug. 29. They will be exhibited at the 2017 COMTRANS International Commercial Vehicle Auto Show, which is being held in the Russian capital from Sept. 4 through Sept. 9.

The new truck models are set to go on sale in October this year through a Foton distributor. Before going on sale, the trucks need to undergo testing and drive at least 150,000 kilometers, the report added.

Some 2,468 Chinese vehicles were sold in Russia in July, analysis institution Autostat said, up 5 percent from a year earlier. Chinese cars have been on the rise in the Eurasian country for three straight years, it added.
