(Yicai Global) July 5 -- China's Tong-Da Cable has won a USD14.3 million deal to supply a state power transmission project in Pakistan, further helping the wire and cable maker to expand its international presence.

Tong-Da Cable secured the contract with Pakistan's monopoly power network operator National Transmission and Dispatch, the Henan province-based company said in a statement yesterday. Under the agreement, the firm will make delivery in 180 days.

The cables will be used for a 500 kilovolt DC transmission line connecting National Transmission's Hubco power plant in southwestern Balochistan province to the Jamshoro substation in southeastern Sind province in the capital and port city of Karachi.
