(Yicai Global) Nov. 27 -- China cloud service provider Inspur Technologies Co. [SHA: 600756] will invest USD454 million (CNY3 billion) over the next three years to develop over 8,000 partners related to the cloud sector in China, the company said at its recently-held Inspur Partner Forum.

The firm will cooperate with partners to provide safe and reliable service solutions as well as local consulting, sales and services for Chinese governments at all levels as well as companies.

97 percent of American companies are using cloud services, and the number of Chinese companies adopting cloud services is rapidly growing, said Wang Hongtie, Inspur Group chief executive. In 2016, over one-fifth of Chinese companies used cloud services, and over half of Chinese governments at all levels also used them. China, as the world's second-largest economy, is embracing the unprecedented opportunities offered by the era of cloud computing, Wang said.

Inspur Cloud has opened five main cloud data centers and 34 cloud data centers in Beijing, Jinan, Shanghai, Chongqing and Kunming and is offering multiple products and services in the cloud area to over 130 provincial and municipal governments and over 1,000 large and medium-sized companies.
